According to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics on October 18, in the first three quarters of this year, China's gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to RMB 38.6762 trillion ($6.32 trillion), growing by 7.7 percent year on year. The growth rate in the third quarter hit 7.8 percent following a 7.5 percent growth recorded for the second quarter.
The third quarter result all but confirms that Beijing will meet its 7.5 percent annual growth target for the year.
